I have never eaten at a Carrabba's before. Have say it will be a while before I eat at another. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff was friendly enough. I also like a place where the kitchen is open so you can see what is going on. But that is where the "good" ends. The food is overpriced and not very good. I got the chicken parm. It was a bit overcooked, but it itself wasn't horrible. However, the local italian joints usually serve spaghetti with the chicken parm. This was served with some undercooked spiral noodles. My wifes seaford meal looked decent, but I was so turned off by mine I didn't even try it. My son got the lobster ravioli. I guess it tasted better than it looked. The portions are small. My "large" chicken parm consisted of two pieces of chicken which would probably equal one piece at any mom and pop Italian place. Overall, this is a restaurant I could care less about ever going to again.

For salads and bread. My favorite is the Mediterranean salad with chicken instead of salmon. Never eat farmed salmon. Too likely to have toxins. 3 stars for Italian food generally.

I ordered on-line and found there was a different price for the each of the dishes when it was time to pick up the food. Not a large amount. On average about 75 cents more per dish. I mentioned the price difference to the manager and told her the URL of the website. All the manager wanted to do was to argue with me. A good manager, for customer service reasons, would have honored the website pricing. She did not want to do that. All she wanted to do was argue. All she did was piss-off a customer.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that as long as a restaurant has good bread, I'll be back. Carrabba's is a pretty decent italian chain. Not nearly as good as Maggianos, but better than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. I usually end up at either this location or the one in Ellicott City. This one usually has a longer, more ridiculous wait, but the hostesses/wait staff are generally a bit more competent and not as obnoxious as the bitchy high schoolers at the one in Ellicott City. The bread is really, really good, and accomponied by olive oil and spices. I generally fill up on this before the food even comes. My favorite appetizer is the calamari (which comes with either marinara sauce, or a spicey lemon butter sauce with chopped peppers... SOOO good). The entree's are pretty consistent and most come with a salad and your choice of side, which just adds to the enormous amount of food you get. The house salad comes with a deliciously creamy parmesan dressing and the garlic mashed potatos are pretty amazing. Chicken parm is usually a good bet but the last time I had it it just tasted... off. The pollo rosa maria (chicken with prosciutto and fontina cheese, topped with a lemon butter sauce, sans mushrooms for me) is one of the best entrees, probably my favorite. The lasagna and lobster raviloi are also pretty good. Not the best restaurant, but pretty consistently good food. I end up here far more often than I probably should.

I'm underwhelmed. Serves me right for choosing a chain restaurant, when there are good choices in the area for local and ethnic. Service was slow, and we waited for our waitress to get around to taking our order. The bread in the basket she brought was probably decent quality, but was not baked through, so we skipped it...anytime I can squish a slice of bread into a wet little ball in my hands, well, it's not worth eating. I had a house salad with the low fat sun dried tomato viniagrette, which might have been a good salad, but was swimming in dressing. The greens and veggies were good quality, but all that was lost in the sea of viniagrette. I've never seen a salad so heavily dressed, and pointed it out to the waitress. The chicken marsala was not bad, but nothing special. I have dined at other locations of this chain before and thought it was better than this, so the kitchen here is not executing the menu well.

I recently had an actual date with my husband. We do not have the luxury of doing this very often, having two children. We have not dinned at Carrabbas in a few years , but being one of favorites, we decided to go to the Hunt Valley Md location. We live in Pa and that is the closest location. It is under construction, and we overlooked that. Then The food and service was not at all what we remembered. My husband was so disappointed as well as I was. I told my friends at work about my experience who also had recently been disappointed with their food and experience. Just thought we would convey our feeling hoping upper management is made aware and hopefully things can be addressed.

Went there at a very odd time. Kind of too late for lunch but a bit early for dinner. Week were one if the only people in there but we were ok with that. Got a great waiter who was busy prepping for dinner but took care of us very well. The calamari was awesome as usual. The bread was warm and good. The flatbread was new to the menu and it was good. Waiter advised on some other new menu items and we can't wait to go back and try them. What a good dining experience.

I'm a fan if the food, but not only have the portion sizes gotten smaller they also took away one of your sides. So if you get grilled chicken you can only get mashed potatoes when you used to able to get potatoes and a green veggie. Oh, the prices went up too. I say the only time to go here now is on Amore Mondays. You'll get a free appetizer to replace the side they took away.

We travel a lot and we always enjoy eating at a Carrabba's Grill. The food is consistently good and we love to sit at the counter and watch the furious dance take place in the kitchen. Truly amazing to watch. Our recent trip to the Hunt Valley Carrabba's was especially enjoyable. A great meal and the manager, Sergio, really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. It is our experience that few chain restaurants do as good a job at making you feel like a "regular" as Carrabba's. Really wish there was one on our home town. Thanks Sergio for a really special dinner.

This is the second time in a few months that I went to a Carrabba's for lunch. This one was a siamese twin to the Outback next door. When you enter through the common doors, your choice is to turn right for Outback or left for Carrabba's. From what I could tell, the menu at all Carrabba's are the same for lunch. Our waiter was very informative and attentive. They had some nice specials and I really appreciate them putting the signature dishes and low calorie items with a special icon. For the second time I had the Johnny Rocco salad which is a nice green salad with cooked shrimp and scallops on top. If it really is as low in calories as it says, it's quite a satisfying lunch--- for sure. My colleagues had the soup and salads as well as half sandwich. No one left hungry or stuffed. Great lunch!

Ate here last night with my wife, brother and sister in law. We all enjoyed our dinners and we loved the service. The server was kind and friendly as well as informative about the dishes that we had questions about. We all got seafood pasta, house salads with the house dressing and two orders of the fried calamari. The pasta was cooked just the way we liked it and the pasta sauce was flavorful. The seafood was wonderful and the fried calamari with the garlic, peppers and butter was a great compliment to the dish. The salads were fresh and good too. If you are looking for Italian and don't mind eating at a chain, then give this place a try. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we all did. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal experience and opinion.

Waiter brought cold soup from kitchen. It was not even microwaved. Broke a plate while clearing the table and returned with a menu that apparently had blood on it from the waiter who cut his finger on the broken plate. At that point, we just stopped and asked for the check, paid up and left. The food was good but I was not satisfied with the quality of service or even the fact the waiter did not notice he handed us a bloody menu. Makes me scared of the kitchen now. If the waiters can't clean up after themselves, how am I supposed to presume the chefs are.

Based on chain Italian. Good food, great portions at fair pricing. Atmosphere fine. Our service happened to be amazing but just depends on who you get. When don't want to spend a fortune on Italian this is a good choice.

I took my girl to this restaurant a few weeks ago on a Thursday night. I was surprised on the remodeling of the inside of the place. It looked a lot smaller than it was before and it was pretty much empty, but they said we would either have a 30 minute wait or we could sit down at the table tops. So we decided to sit down at the table tops. I took a look at the menu and noticed that it had also changed and there weren't as many options. Then, I took a look at the prices and they had increased as well. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, but he seemed like he was on some kind of stimulant drug. The food was very good...we had 6 mozzarella sticks and two main entries (pasta & lobster ravioli). Both of the main entries came with two salads as well. The bill came out and I took a look at it. It was about $50 (all we had for drinks: ice tea and water). I don't mind paying a little more money for a nice restaurant that isn't a food chain and this one I would definitely think again about going to. Save your money and go somewhere else.* * *I took my girl to this restaurant a few weeks ago on a Thursday night. I was surprised on the remodeling of the inside of the place. I have been a long time customer here. Years. The food is good but the portions are much much smaller than they used to be. I always got a large salad and pasta. It used to be a good size salad but the bowls are smaller. I could see the bottom of the bowl. The pasta was a joke. 10 or 11 fork fulls and it was nearly empty. And pasta is cheap to buy so they should give more. I have been going here less and less lately. I only wish they were as good as they were 10 years ago.

Our party of 8 dined at the restaurant on 9/9/13 and had an opportunity to try the Amore Monday promotion. What a great deal! It featured an entree, choice of dessert or appetizer and a salad or soup. 4 members of our party ordered appetizers and the other 4 ordered desserts so we had a nice combination of appetizers and desserts for our table to share. Entrees among our group included lasagna, salmon and veal marsala. Those of us who chose lasagna were very happy. There was a split decision on the veal marsala. One member of our group thought it was delicious and the other member felt it was overly salty. With the exception of our group member who thought the veal marsala was salty, everyone was happy with their entrees, soups, salads, appetizers and desserts. My lasagna was barely warm when it arrived (the other lasagnas were nice and hot temperature wise) but the individual who served our food took it back to the kitchen and promptly returned with it nice and hot. Our server was Jasmine. She was friendly, efficient and very attentive. She cheerfully refilled glasses and checked on us periodically to see if our table needed anything. Great service by Jasmine. This location was recently remodeled and looks terrific - bright, inviting decor with increased space, some redesign in the seating area and new black uniforms for the servers. Good food, inviting dining room and excellent job by our server Jasmine. We'll be back.

Excellent customer service. Didn't start out so smooth, there were two tables of us and kinda confusing I'm sure. I got the steamed mussels, which normally I absolutely love. But I guess in there attempts to shovel food out at what seemed the end of the night I got about 70% of my mussels undercooked. The wait staff was kind enough to let me inform them and not have an attitude. Too often the wait staff gets defensive....not with these folks. I merely informed them at their "How is everything" question and they were apologetic and kind. They even removed the item from the bill without my insistence. I'd gladly enjoy this place again....

Great bread, tasty sangria, excellent pasta, skip the pizza. Carrabba's has good wine specials - check before you go, and take advantage of a half-price bottle night. The bread and its herb/oil mix is the highlight of the meal for some, though all entrees we've tried have been excellent. Chicken Bryan and Tagliarini Picchi Pacchiu are our favorites, and that's what we order practically every time. Service is always good, wine selection is always appropriate, and the food is always hot and well cooked. Skip the pizza - it is oily and not flavorful enough. We haven't tried the desserts, but have heard good things.

As noted in the previous review - suburban strip mall concept-restaurant chain. Actually not bad. Family friendly. Reasonably priced. My wife loved her lobster ravioli. My son loved his brick oven cheese pizza. I loved my tomato basil soup. I wasn't so crazy about my Rustica pizza - which was supposed to feature roasted eggplant and peppers, with sausage. The eggplant was fried - in some pretty nasty old oil. And the peppers were raw and crunchy - not roasted. Most of the food was pretty highly seasoned - mainly salt. I think I'll order from the entree menu vice the pizza next time - people around us were getting some decent looking main plates. But overall, it was fine for a bring-the-whole family experience. Just a warning: we went at 5 on a rainy, miserable Saturday evening - and it was already pretty packed.

Another chain restaurant? On a Saturday night? On a Prom night? Around dinner time? What were we thinking? Yep, ten of us ventured into this Carrabba's at 6:30 on a Saturday. Parking was crazy and there was a mob of people waiting. Girls in their fancy prom dresses prancing around and families celebrating birthdays. We were there meeting friends from the area and out of state. This selection seemed to be an appropriate spot as far as location and price. Our waitress was properly overwhelmed or off her game that evening and so our service was very spotty. We had to ask for silverware and plates. We had to ask for more bread. You get the idea. Ask and you might receive in a timely manner. Drink orders were taken and then we ordered our meals. I selected a special seasonal dish with shrimp and a seafood sauce over whole wheat spaghetti. Waitress could not tell me what seafood was used in the sauce. Just informed me it was a chicken broth and the seafood came from the shrimp? Others order veal dishes and simple spaghetti with sausage. Salads were ordered and I ordered the Minestone soup. When it arrive it was warm and it was just ok. Not a lot of vegetables but more broth. The salads looked just ok. Some of the lettuce looked a little brownish. At least they were not drowning in dressing. The meals arrived and it took several tries to get them to the right person. Some of the sides on several of the dishes were wrong. It was finally figured out or we just compromised and everyone started to eat. I only ate about half of mine as the garlic was overwhelming. At one point I felt it sorta up my nose or something and had a little sneezing fit. The spaghetti was described as having a nice sauce. Our waitress never came back to check on us or bring more bread with the meal. We were never asked if we wanted dessert or any coffee or tea. A check was just brought to us after they cleaned up the table. One of our tables that were put together was lower than the other and a glass of water slipped off and onto the table. It was like magic as no one touched it. That and the conversation with friends was the highlight of my evening. All in all it was great to see old friends and get a chance to talk. Talking was hard as it was crowded and very loud. I really don't like to eat at chains as there are so many better choices out there but sometimes choices are made for you. On the ride home our take out styrofoam containers sat in the back seat and the garlic smell was overwhelming. I wish I could say that about the service and food at this restaurant but it was just ok for me.

First off, I typically do not like eating at chains...but for a non-special night out for dinner, Carrabas is consistent and reliable for getting a satisfying meal. I actually like their steaks better than their affiliate Outback. I love the bread, the olive oil dipping sauce, the wood fired pizza, the Chicken Bryan, the Seafood linguine, the Pork Chops, etc.(not so crazy about their Caesar salad dressing though). What I really like here is their calamari. It is the only place on the east coast (that I've been to at least) that will serve (by special request) calamari grilled not fried or battered. I love it this way as it reminds me of Italy and California. I haven't had all of their dishes and I'm sure not all are good but again, if you want consistency, appropriate atmosphere, good service, and descent food then give Carrabas a try!

Italian family chain restaurant in a strip mall... The closest to fine dining in an area of office parks and huge retail chain stores. I was expecting terrible, and was pleasantly impressed. Nothing fancy, but good food at reasonable prices for families-- $5-10 appetizers, $10-20 main courses. The service is great, but the wait is not. One of my accounts took me here after a long day of meetings on a Friday night, and our 15-20 minute wait for two ended up running closer to 45 minutes standing around between the small entry area and the smaller bar. Zero complaints once we got our table and our food. The complimentary bread was light and fluffy fluffy, and the soup of the day, lentil sausage, was great. Salads looked like nothing to write home about. I went with the mussel appetizers ($10) --- avoiding the typical sins of being overcooked or being not fresh, these were surprisingly tasty in white wine, and they came in a massively large serving. You could have this appetizer for dinner itself. Trying to watch my carbs, I stayed away from the overwhelming assortment of pasta and cream sauce dishes, instead going for the 9 oz. filet, the most expensive thing on the menu at $20. (It comes with soup or salad, and two sides.) The meat came out medium rare, exactly as expected, and was better than some upscale steakhouses I've tried. I was no longer hungry by the time steak arrived, but still ate it all. It was that nummy. The noise level is pretty loud, and it's very crowded. You can go with your friends, coworkers, and family, but it's not ideal for dates or business meetings. Overall, good service, good food, and a nice weekday dinner destination for locals. The only caveat: stay away from prime time or you'll be waiting forever and a day. The food itself is four stars. I'm subtracting one because of the crowded strip mall environment.

Decent italian food in an area with few options. The bread is really good, as are the mezzaluna. I usually enjoy the chicken with goat cheese entree - it has good flavor and you can select from a choice of side dishes. My only complaint is their constant rushing. In order to maximize their table turnover, they try to time your entree delivery to the exact moment you finish your salad. This is probably fine for the business lunch crowd. But if you have even a moderate amount of conversation during the bread and salad time, you're messing up their timing and your entree will arrive cold. Last week my chicken was room temperature and the side of pasta was downright cold. The server was really nice about it, but guess what? The restaurant doesn't have a microwave (seriously?!?). So my chicken went back in the oven for 15 minutes and came out dry and almost inedible.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Was told it was better than Olive Garden. It lived up to expectations.

Carrabba's takes care about their customer to a whole new level with their Gluten free menu! Thanks to Carrabba's and a very few other restaurants Celiac patients can enjoy meal out with the rest of their family's!

Nothing special. Nothing on the menu ever pops out of me. I'd rather go to Olive Garden...
